    Write the formula of Strontium hydroxide: Sr(OH)2. Then the equation should be like this when unbalanced:

    Sr(OH)2 + HCl -> SrCl2 + H2O

    So we balance it by counting on H2O: 2OH's on the left.

    Sr(OH)2 + HCl -> SrCl2 + 2 H2O

    Then count the Cl: 2 on the right.

    Sr(OH)2 + 2 HCl -> SrCl2 + 2 H2O

    Finally for the state symbols:

    Sr(OH)2 (aq) + 2 HCl (aq) -> SrCl2 (aq) + 2 H2O (l)

    Note: the data given is not so useful in writing equations. It seems that there is a B part, so those may only be useful there. If you like you may multiply the coefficients by 2 like what another person did, which I don't suggest.

    5x (Fe2+ = Fe3+ + e-) 1x (MnO4- + 8H+ + 5e- = Mn2+ + 4H2O) 5Fe2+ + MnO4- + 8H+ --> 5Fe3+ + Mn2+ + 4H2O acidic answer +8OH- __________________ +8OH- 5Fe2+ + MnO4- + 4H2O --> 5Fe3+ + Mn2+ + 8OH- basic answer
