A college in Osaka or Tokyo?
So I currently live in America and am soon going to be a freshman in college. For my Sophomore year I plan on studying abroad in Japan. My dilemma is the college I'm going to has 2 sister schools. One in Tokyo and one in Osaka. Which should I choose as an uninformed American and why?

In fact, people in Osaka speak its own dialect. So if you live in Osaka, you might speak it, not standard Japanese.
So I hope you will live in Tokyo and learn standard Japanese, not Osaka dialect.

Americans tend to like Osaka more as a place to live. You can go to tokyo whenever you want, and from Osaka if you want to travel, a majority of the popular places are within a day trip from Osaka.
What kind of school are you looking for? It would help if we knew what you wanted. What schools are they?

I'd go2 Tokyo. It's more tourist-friendly. Check out a bar called Garage Land. The bartender's name is Tom, he speaks English & has a lot of english speaking friends that can help get u fluent ;)
Have a Blast. Maybe i'll see ya in Garage Land
