Paulie Malignaggi was robbed?

I can't believe they gave the fight to Juan Diaz and then Boxing fans wonder why people are watching MMA. This is ridiculous. Paulie Malignagg was boxing this guys ears off and they give Juan Diaz the decision WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP.

I Can't believe they robbed that kid he beat the Breaks off Juan Diaz the last 3 or 4 rounds where Paulie Malignaggi's without question they guy got Robbed I can't believe that 118 to 110 is outrageous that guy should be taken outside and beaten.

I was actually at a crawfish restaurant with my fiance' while watching this fight. I wanted to grab a pen to score this fight in a napkin, but damn, my fiance' think Im obsess with boxing so she told me to enjoy my crawfish and beer. When I heard the decision I almost choke on my crawfish. I thought Paulie won, seriously! At least 115-113 or 114-113, either or. But when I scored the fight when i got home, it was actually closer than I expected!

I was trying to keep score in back of my mind but I couldnt help notice that the first round was Malignaggi. Good thing I had it recorded in my house so I was able to watch it again and took a pen and wrote what I saw because I knew this will be asked in this forum! Paulie landed a lot of jabs, and I remembered his four combo land punches, where Diaz did not block. Diaz countered a couple of times, but he was not landing his shots. Round 1 goes to Paulie 10-9.

Round 2 seem to be more like a Diaz counter. He scored major points by cutting Paulie in his upper eye lid and eyebrows. Diaz 10-9

Round 3, it looked like Diaz was a bit rocked. Paulie 10-9

Round 4, Great jabs, body punches, and counters by Diaz. He easily dominated this round eventhough he was cut in the eye lid! Diaz 10-9

Round 5, Paulie landed a series of blows to Diaz face and make the cut even bigger. Paulie also threw a couple of quick combo and counter punchers, where the always aggresive Diaz seem to be back paddling. Paulie 10-9

Round 6, Accidental elbow caused Diaz to have two cuts. Both fighters are aggresive. this is hard to score but I give it to Paulie 10-9

Round 7, Diaz dominates Paulie with a series of combos in the ribs, chest, and face. Diaz 10-9

Round 8, Paulie answers, he is landing punches, but not much. Diaz throws a couple of jabs and shots to the ribs. They were not power shots. Diaz 10-9

Round 9, Diaz seem to be bother by the cut and Paulie lands some hard punches. Diaz throws the harder punches, and Paulie seems exhausted to the point where his land shots were not really hurting Diaz. Diaz 10-9.

Round 10, Paulie hits Diaz with a couple of jabs. Diaz is trying to counter with hard shots. Diaz had better accuracy, but Paulie landed more important shots. Paulie 10-9

Round 11, Paulie lands a couple of hard punches to Diaz' face, and Diaz is bleeding profusely! Diaz isnt hurting Paulie at all, but Paulie is doing significant damage. Paulie 10-9

Round 12, Diaz was the aggressor but Paulie is not fading. They exchange power shots, with Diaz a better accuracy, form, precision and power. Diaz 10-9

Paulie Malinaggi 114 Juan Diaz 114

Ladies and gentlemen, I thought this was a draw! I know Malinaggi landed more shots, but not the significant ones to win. Diaz landed 27 % of his shots and Malinaggi only about 20%. Plus Diaz landed more power shots but Malinaggi landed more shots overall! And if it is divided into Round by Round stat, this fight was closer, so this fight could have gone either way, in my opinion!

Wow!!! I am a boxing fan and have been for a very long time but I see why so many people are moving to MMA. Boxing is all politics. I am a fan of Juan Diaz and have enjoyed watching Paulie fight ever since he showed a ton of heart in the Cotto fight (broken jaw through most of the fight). But Paulie seriously got robbed. I cannot believe what I just saw!!! especially 118 - 110!!!!!! C'mon... Paulie outboxed Diaz most of the fight!!! I feel bad for him. Hopefully he can come back from this. Golden Boy make sure that their investments pay off I guess!!!

I have said this many times, I am from Texas and I'm latino, and I love both of those things, and usually side with a fighter that at least has one of those characteristics, but I cannot say as a true boxing fan, that Juan Diaz UNANIMOUSLY won that decision. Poor Paulie, I do feel like he was robbed. He looked fresher at the end of the fight, and I'm not talking about his face not being that beat up, however that was another indicator as well, but he was still light on his fight and fast as hell. I truly believe this was a hometown decision. No disrespect to Diaz, awesome fighter, that just wasn't his fight.

No doubt in anyones mind who knows anything at all about boxing who won this fight! Ignorant, blatently wrong decisions like this load of crap are the reason people are turning to the UFC. What I don't understand is why is this allowed to continuously go on uninvestigated? I don't even like Malignaggi. I was 100 percent behind Diaz in this fight but come on! Juan Diaz did not win this fight by any stretch of the imagination! 118 to 110? That is beyond ludicrous!

Can I vent? I am a Malignaggi fan...so excuse me if I sound biased here...but he was robbed. Lederman and I both had 115-113...and I could see someone saying 115-113 the other way. Here are my problems?

First, Im tired of promotional advatages...he wasn't fighting Golden Boy he was fighting Diaz. I was sick watching Oscar standing behind Diaz with that Damn smirk. Second, I'm sick of hometown location advantages. This was worst that what happened to Clottey. Paulie fought to the end and outboxed Juan big time. The crowd is ingnorant to just see one fighters aggression and not see that Paulie was more effective. If I am a pro I'd never want to conceed ring, gloves, location, judges ...none of it...The crying shame is he called it before the fight...just like Clottey.

Look at the fighters body language before the cards were announced.

The worst decision I have ever seen in Boxing. This is why I will never buy a boxing PPV or view it as a true even, fair sporting event. With all the sanctioning bodies, politics, money and fair weather fans, boxing is the cellar dweller of all sporting events. Although I think Malignaggi is a tool, he won that boxing match. I'm not going to call it a fight because Paulie executed his game plan better than Diaz, landed more punches and OUTBOXED him. What a joke. Hang in there Paulie, you deserve better.

It appears GoldenBoy is no different than Don King or Bob Arum when it comes to stealing a decision for their fighters. I am not a big Paulie Malignaggi fan, but the kid got robbed last night. I gave Paulie 8 of 12 rounds and the decision was a travesty.

    this is bullshit , malignaggi

was lied to about the ring size , about the judges , not only that

118 110 would be a score vs a boxer vs a brawler and gatti who looked like an italian mayweather clearly landed the cleaner shots , this fight is more convincinggthan the calzaghe bernard hopkins fight , i thought this fight was easier to score , if i thought hopkins won malignaggi dominated ring generalship , boxing is barbaric the fans are rude , malignaggi is a very nice and proffessional young talented fighter . Oscar delahoya is a mainstream barbie , boxing is not hollywood movies where it should be scripted . nothing against juan who fought with heart but clearly paul landed a higher percentage blocked most of his punches with his shoulders , as the fight progressed instead of slowing down paulie's footworked got faster and maintained a steady consistent stamina and hand speed . ARTURO GATTI WOULD BE PROUD , this has happed before in the past with taylor and chavez , what can I say , it was mafia in houston . God knows who one that fight

it is bullshit , malignaggi became into lied to bearing directly to the ring length , bearing directly to the judges , no longer purely that 118 a hundred and ten may well be a score vs a boxer vs a brawler and gatti who gave the effect of an italian mayweather for sure landed the purifier photos , this combat is extra convincinggthan the calzaghe bernard hopkins combat , i presumed this combat became into much less demanding to attain , if i presumed hopkins won malignaggi ruled ring generalship , boxing is barbaric the followers are rude , malignaggi is an fantastically superb and proffessional youthful gifted fighter . Oscar delahoya is a mainstream barbie , boxing isn't hollywood movies the place it may well be scripted . no longer something against juan who fought with heart yet for sure paul landed a miles better share blocked maximum of his punches together with his shoulders , with the aid of fact the combat more advantageous rather of slowing down paulie's footworked have been given swifter and maintained a gradual consistent stamina and hand velocity . ARTURO GATTI may well be PROUD , this has happed until now interior the previous with taylor and chavez , what can i say , it became into mafia in houston . God is standard with of who one that combat
