Windows Vista Update Glitch?
Need Help!! Every time my windows updates it says configuring 3 updates then freezes-restarts-freezes-restarts, luckily ive restored the settings and changed the update settings, but i cant update anything now, does anyone know how i can solve this without having anything deleted of my pc, i have a fujitsu siemens so theres no repair disk and its all built inside the pc, and quick simple ways to solve it :)
Updates Are nessesary and its 100 percent not a virus or trojan etc
And i dont use internet explorer i use safari

This happens to me sometimes, it would install updates, restart and say updates were not configured correctly.
You need to install one update at a time, or only install the important updates first, then the optional updates once restarted.

this maybe subject to a virus/worm. please can with anti-virus software but update the antivirus protection first. do a full system scan. if anything is found remove the infections and restart system. if problems persist upgrade ur internet explorer browser and use the update option in tools tab. let me know.

I have Updates turned off. They aren't needed.
