    It's more someone abusing someone by beating them up regularly.. like a family member, spouse , or friend..

    not just beating someone up , there is more to it in my opinion.

    yeah I agree, not just couples but anyone in a family household when an argument that gets physically involved

    striking, injuring, or verbally/emotionally abusing anyone in your family or household. domestic abusers are the lowest.

    When you beat/hit/kick/slap someone that didn't beat you first.
