wanted to run duals on my c-1500?
did a v6 to v8 swap on my 1994 c-1500 the exhaust will not work was going to install headers and dual exhaust if i run the shorty headers do i have to run a cross over pipe if i run the long tube headers are there clearance issues with the headers or on the drivers side by the tranny
i live in okla so no need for cat-converter

On the 94 C-1500 you can run true duel exhaust using the shorty headers as long as the shorties you're reference of has the collector tilted 45 degrees from the last cylinder and not turned down in the middle on the head... the only clearance issue will be the crossmember.. going above or below..
Using long tube headers can be done but will create heat issues with the tranny (unless they are ceramic coated) and often leak at the collector due to getting beat around more often. There isn't much difference between the two models of headers for performance gains, but running the exhaust pipes can be done easier using the shorties.. especially if you order a duel kit from summit designed for shorties.. its 300 to 400 with 2 duel chamber mufflers
