How do I move my Gram's old antique secretary from Cleveland, Ohio to Baltimore Md. safely?
My mom has been holding my grams old antique secretary for me, and now it is time to move it. I cannot hook it up to my car (Nissan Sentra) so how do I get it from Cleveland, Ohio to Baltimore, Maryland safely without damage? Any suggestions...please guide me through this. thanks, phat beatz

Box it yourself, lots and lots of padding. You could have a custom wood crate created. but that isn't really necessary. You can get empty large boxes at Home Depot etc.. that you can customize them yourself (fold/cut etc.). Get cloth pads from a u-haul place and wrap the desk with those, tie them on with heavy cord. Then use your modified cardboard box to enclose it all. Fill in all the empty space with more pads or bubble wrap or newspaper. Tape the whole thing up and your good to go.
