World's Most Expensive Wedding Gown?

The world's most expensive wedding gown to date is worth $19 million dollars. It is diamond encrusted. By Kazanjian Bros. Jewelry and Simin. It is a one of a kind gown.

I couldn't find a picture of it but it was shown at the bridal show at the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Ray back in 2007.

This gown is even more expensive than the gown worn by Princess Diana. Even more expensive than the $12 million dollar gown by Renee Strauss and Martin Katz (which is worth less than Princess Diana's gown).

I'm planning on using David's Bridal for the bridesmaid dresses and will probably look at wedding gowns there as well. For my wedding gown I have 3-4 shops in mind in the same area. I plan to hit them all on the same day hopefully and choose the best of the bunch. I'm on a small budget though so that narrows it down for me a lot. You are way ahead of me though, I have done very little and my wedding is going to be before that!

The world’s most expensive wedding gown was unveiled at the premier Luxury Brands Lifestyle Bridal show in February of 2006. Later in the year, Dubai’s Fashion & Diamonds show also featured a gown touted as the world’s most expensive wedding dress. Yumi Katsura’s design, however, is only valued at $8.5 million. Despite being only the second most expensive wedding dress, it features 1,000 pearls and one of the world’s only two 5 carat white gold diamonds.

Featuring 150 carats of diamonds, the dress is valued at US $12 million.

There is another one Diamond Wedding Dress created for Jeweler Martin Katz and dressmaker Renee Strauss teamed up to create the most expensive wedding dress on record, featuring a stunning 150 carats worth of diamonds laced throughout the dress. The veil that is shown in the picture worn with the dress does sparkle, but it does not feature diamonds. Instead, the veil has some pretty rhinestones. But we figure, if you’re doing to drop $12 million on a dress, why not just have someone custom create a matching, diamond-laced veil? And while you’re at it, get some fancy diamond-studded shoes to add to the bling factor!
