Those who believe Mormons and others need to be saved: What makes you not try?

Ok, so I know that most of you who are on here, that believe this, ARE trying. So perhaps this question can't be answered. But give it a shot anyway.

My boss (a Baptist) mentioned the other day, that according to Baptist beliefs, she should be trying to "save" me (as I am LDS), but that she thinks there is more than one way to heaven, more than one "correct church", and so she doesn't really feel like she needs to do that.

Just wondering, what do you think? What do your friends who aren't as...outgoing, as you, think?

Update:

Interesting answer Frankie.

Update 2:

Perhaps I didn't quote my boss, exactly, but those were her sentiments. She mentioned it in relation to feeling that she had not (over the last 6 months or so) been faithful - or faithful enough.

Update 3:

Thanks Guitarpicker. I've read it. It's an interesting article, to be sure, but he uses an RLDS (I know, they changed their name) BoM for reference. I don't want to confuse her. But I do take his sentiments and share them with some friends.

Update 4:

As much as I value my LDS contacts answers, I really would like answers from other Christians, or anyone else who believes there is a segment of the population that needs saving from their current religion.

Update 5:

So James, how do you suggest we ducks go about setting the record straight with the Anti's?

Update 6:

Interesting James. Very interesting.

Update 7:

Well, despite the interesting answers, no one has actually answered the question. If this remains, I'll delete the question. Those that answered will still get to keep their points, as I understand it.

Update 8:

ok, well, I've decided to put it to vote instead of deleting it. I may try the question again, during a better time of day.

Good question and I tend to believe this is one of these questions where there is no right or wrong answer either. I'll give you a star for it being a good question.

There is a lot of animosity in religion. It's always this "us" sect vs. them "other" sect. God is nothing like this. Your boss has the right idea, if only others could realize this, then it would be a devastating blow to Satan. There is no us, and there is no them. We are all God's children and most of us are all seeking the divine.

Edit: Frankie: *sighs* And you just went and proved the Us vs. Them mentality. Does not Paul state in Ephesians 2:19

    19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

It is Satan that throws this whole contre/anti position in the world.

Who are we to judge who is "saved" and not "saved"

If I had the light wouldn't the light shine bright? By my own glow you would want what I had and that is the way you will find it. By my speech, by my actions, by my life, I will talk to you about Jesus and God but seeing it also helps. However, It is hard to remember to be an example to others. I try to remember but sometimes I do forget. I am sorry for those times. I am sorry for the disservice I do to myself as well as others. If God does not use me he will use another to lead those that are lost. However, I should always live like he can and will only use me. Let's light up the world! Smiles.

Tonya, consider reading the following website item written by a Baptist minister on his views of the Book of Mormon and then relay the URL to your boss. It is eye-opening.

I try to reach out to all my friends. Christ said "Straight is the way and narrow is the path that leadeth to Heaven." Despite many misconceptions people have, there is only one correct way back to God. We need to figure that out so we can be on it.

Edit: Many will find the correct path later, that didn't get to in this life. It still does not change the fact there is only one way back to him.

You say your boss is a baptist. You do not say that she is a Christian. If she believes that there is more than one way to heaven then she doesn't believe the bible so I don't believe that God will call her a Christian. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and life. No-one comes to the Father except by ME."

If she doesn't believe that and if you don't believe that then you both need to be saved.
