What's bad about putting ice cream in the microwave?
My spanish teacher, of all people, said that putting ice cream in the microwave caused some type of chemical reaction. But I really don't like it when there's little chunks of ice on the top of the ice cream, so I heat it up for about 15 seconds. Is that bad?
And it's not hot if you put it in there for 15 seconds! It just melts all of the nasty crunchy stuff! :)

Duuuuuuude! Like, it's only bad if the cat is eating it at the time!
Besides, Duuuuuuude! Spanish people don't microwave their ice cream; they like FRIED ice cream!!

You shouldn't do that because the microwave radiation is only for objects going from neutral to hot. You should let it sit on the counter or put it in the fridge for a while

well ice cream is supposed to be cold.. if you don't like the little chunks of ice you can always just scrape them off.. or let it sit out for a while instead. I think those would be better options then microwaving ice cream, i've never heard that one before lol

I do that too, it softens the ice cream and makes it tastes yummy.
I've never heard it causes a chemical reaction, if that were the case you shouldn't use the microwave at all.

No. There's nothing wrong with that. She's stupid. My mom and I always warm up our ice cream a little so that it's easier to scoop and eat. Tell your Spanish teacher that you're going to put chemicals in her lunch.

I don't think there is. 90% of the time I do that because I don't like fighting with my IC. I like slipping the spoon through it.

I never heard of that and i often do that myself.
As long as you don't leave it in there too long i see no problem.
