Ladies, I would greatly appreciate your advice.?
I know this is "strange" but my boyfriend who I've been seeing for 5 months has a thing about watching me step on things with my bare feet. I think it's fine and I do it for him and it makes him happy. He does things for me too so it's cool. He really wants me to step on one of those tin cookie containers for him and I wouldn't mind doing it, but I'm wondering what will happen. Will it hold me or will it just dent a little? Will it crush? I really hope it doesn't shatter and hurt my feet! I'm just hoping to get some thoughts on what you think would happen if you stepped on one of those tins ... oh and if you could include how much you weigh, that would be helpful. Thanks.
Here's a picture of the tin he wants to use:

The tin might get crushed or dented but it can't shatter. Metal doesn't do that. It's actually most likely that it will support your weight and remain good as new if you step straight down on it slowly and carefully. It's very unlikely that it could hurt you in any way.
OK, I just tried it with a pretzel tin. It dented the lid slightly, but didn't crush it. I think I'm a bit overweight, like most of us, but I'm not telling.
Do the experiment yourself, and don't worry.

if you avoid stepping on the inside of the tin then you should be fine. it will be a little uncomfortable stepping on the rim, but if you have good balance it should take your weight. make sure your feet aren't sweaty because they will slip. the tin will probably hold up to about 150lbs. if you are not sure, then hold onto a railing or table while you do it

Not really! It will bend a bit but it won't shatter! The only problem is you might squish the box. Depending how much you weigh. If your about weigh about 110 and over you might want to be careful!

I think you will be okay bit might just dent... but its odd he makes you do that. Remember you have the right to say no if some thing sounds dangerous or to out there

the worst it would do is bend a little. Its not a sharp plastic, so its fine. I weigh like 120, and i think the worst it would do is bend/dent, or just snap. its really not that huge of a deal. Have fun....

It would most likely dent, regardless of how much you weigh. But it won't break or shatter. So go for it i guess.

It should hold your weight. It might dent a little, but it definitely won't shatter.

Ok, he has a little fetish
It doesn't look that sturdy. I would test with one foot, or jump on with both feet and jump off fast. If it can hold your weight, go ahead

I stepped on one and it just made a pop sound but when i stepped off it just popped right back into shape, i weigh 110lbs

Okay first of all... Wow... Weirdo... Um... Well if you stepped on one with all your weight, it would probably crush a little, but not as much as if you stepped on a soda can.
