How do you know if someone has received and read your email?

Try some of these sites...I am sure there are more, but this is all I have at the moment...I tried the first one...works great..

You enter READNOTIFY.COM in your web browser and bring up there website.... sign up for an 11 day free trial. Then, you assign your email address to it and send your friend the email as normal only you add readnotify.com at the end, your friend won't see this. So for example, friend@yahoo.com would become friend@yahoo.com.readnotify.com

Then when she receives it, you will know when, how long it was opened for, if it was re-opened and if it was forwarded.

Unfortunately this is not a service which is available on Yahoo Mail. You could add a note asking the recipient to confirm receipt.
