I subscribe to the "Stuff You Missed in History Class" podcasts on iTunes. There was one about propaganda which you may find interesting and could give you some answers. While it is entitled, "How Hitler's Propaganda Machine Worked" it is more about the different types of propaganda and how it is worked to sway the public. You can find it here:

Do you mean how the media and ACORN got obama elected?
Notice that anyone that stands up and don't follow Obama is automatically deemed a racist?
I have seen the racial flip flop msnbc did with the people that brought arms to a meeting. It was a black guy with the guns but the racist msnbc media switched it around and changed it to white racists caring the guns. We have seen much of this going on.
And it needs to stop.

For many, news comes through the conduit of the media. Very few of us live "news" first hand, and even then, we all (without trying) spin said news with our own bias.

The liberals are swayed more because there are more of the liberal media that feeds them what they have an appetite for.
