Any one have an opinion about DIllion guitars USA.?

I heard some great things ( dillionguitars.com) but played one and was astounded by the quality for the price but want more opinions.... I was thinking about the DR1500QTI, and please give a relevant opinion (so if your some gibson or fender die hard fan who needs the brand name on the headstock and will trash even the best "non brand name" guitars don't answer)

I have a Dillion copy of a 3 pickup Gibson Les Paul Custom and it is brilliant. It is burgundy in colour and aside from the rosewood fingerboard (as opposed to an ebony one on a Gibson), it is an exact replica of the real thing, including the headstock, which is matches the Gibson exactly.

Unplugged, my guitar is very resonant so its sounds great acoustically. This is a hallmark of a well made guitar.

The pickups that came with mine were awful and some of the wiring (i.e., soldering work) was dodgy. However, once you replace the stock pickups with some decent ones and get the wiring fixed (easy to do), it sounds absolutely fantastic - just as good a "real" Gibson. I replaced my stock pickups with Seymour Duncans. Also had a bone nut installed to replace the plastic nut. Finally, I had the rosewood fingerboard darkened to a black colour, so it's physically indistinguishable from an ebony board.

The tuners didn't have to be replaced cause they never go out of tune!

My model was made in Korea and isn't made anymore. It cost me $400 US and I bought it on EBay about 4 years ago.

So, if the quality of the DR1500QTI is consistent with the quality of the LP that I have and are willing to spend a few bucks to perform some minor upgrades, I say go for it!

there is not any longer something sexier that a woman bass participant in an all male band. i think of that's the wonder you get whilst a female is offering the ballsy backside end stuff. that's the drums that supplies you the beat whether that's the bass that calls for which you upward push up and dance. female guitarists don't have fairly the comparable charm for me, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that i've got huge-unfold a pair of solid ones. They stand or fall with the help of their skill point in my e book. i admire guitar and that i nevertheless like ladies so that's a double whammy if the guitar is solid AND the female is solid. have been given to be the two however.
