Hearing radio transmissions at night?

First, I want to say, I am sane, thank you very much. Its just recently, I've been picking up bits of radio broadcasts at night when I'm in bed. It's usually sort of muffled talk shows, but sometimes sports; both men and women. One time I heard an audience responding. I heard intro music once and a couple of times, I could actually catch a word spoken loud enough to understand. There are so many "waves" in the atmosphere these days, especially since they introduced digital TV and the pay radio stations. It's not coming from inside my head (like my fillings). I can put my fingers in my ears and it stops. It only happens once a night or less. Anybody else experience this?

I'm not joking...not cute answers please.

There has got to be someone near your home listening to the television at night. They may have just moved in and you aren't used to the sound at that hour. It could be that a bum has moved into the bushes close to your house, and has himself a handy little radio or miniature television for entertainment.

Especially if you can block out the sound when you put your fingers in your ears.

Next time, do some investigation, but be stealthy my friend! Wait till the sounds have been going for five minutes, then sneak from your bed and discover the source of this mystery.
