medium to high height ponytail, with a scrunchie that matches your dress secured with bobby pins (everyone in their life will have their scrunchie fall out once)
Or try a bun and leave your bangs out, spray them with hairspray and clip them back using at least 4 pins/clips behind your ear so they look natural
good luck! hope you win :)

In order to look like a neat, well kept figure skater you need to pull your hair back with lots of hairspray. Pull back any bangs or pieces that fall down in the front or back and pin them up with bobby pins. You can pull your bangs off to the side a little bit also, still pinning them back so they don't hang. I also think a side part, low bun looks professional. The most professional way to wear your hair is in a bun, kept with pins and wrapped in a scrunchie. You may use hairnets to keep the flyaways in your bun kept neat and i recommend using ballet pins for the bun, they hold much better and are much longer than bobby pins which tend to fly out.
Here is a link to an online store that sells pins and hairnets

You need to put it up somehow. Try a bun again. Maybe you just aren't doing it the right way. I'm sure you could ask someone for help with a pretty bun. Good luck on your competition!

It needs to be back and completely out of the way, not flopping about everywhere and certainly no side fringe to get in your eyes. It doesn't have to be a bun though - a ponytail will be fine, or even something plaited. Could you get someone to French plait your fringe back along the side of your head?

I say go with what Kelli said. I am a figure skater but not good enough to compete. When I practice I just put my hair in a pony tail. Good Luck at your competition.

Congrats on your first competition. You need to have your hair tied out of your way:
1: low side ponies
2: pony tail
3: bun
4:braided any of above
