Hunt(show) coat questions?
I have a hunt coat(show coat) that is black but is really big on me because 1. i got it big
because my parents and i thought i would grow taller and wider in the shoulders
but found out about 2 years later That i have a genetic trait (or something like that) and Im only going to be as tall as i am now and have the same frame.
2. we also bought it big because I was husky then and so we wanted it to fit in case i gained more weight.
But I've lost about 20 pounds so my coat is really really big in the shoulders
I didn't do any shows this year because i was training a new show horse for next season.
I want to compete in Hunter/Jumpers and equitation classes
what Im looking from you is a recommendation on a coat and a size recommendation
Here are my measurements:
bust 33 1/2 inches
waist 25 1/2 inches
hips 32 1/2 inches
if i need other measurements please tell me
please put a link in your answer if you can so i can look at the coats
Thank you

My recommendation would be to go to your local tack store and try some on. If the price is higher than you'd like, don't buy it, but look online for the one that fits you. That's how I get my size for my show clothes. You can find things on sale now, since it's the end of show season. You can try crazyhorsetack.com or statelinetack.com or doversaddlery.com. I've bought from all three for cheaper than the tack store. You can also find good deals on ebay. I'd recommend a Tuffrider coat. They're long lasting and really comfortable. You'd probably be a size 8. I have similar measurements... I'm a little smaller, but the size 8 was nearly perfect for me. Again, look online. You can get great deals on all your equestrian clothes and if you really need, you could even take the old jacket to a tailor and have it fitted for 15-20 dollars. Good luck!

I have this coat:

I am about the same size as you (A little smaller chest wise). I wear a size 8 in that coat, which can be a little tight across the shoulders, so I would get the next size up. I got it from friend for free, along with a show shirt, and I wasn't going to refuse that. I think my coat is around 2 years old, and the only problem is the lining inside one of the pockets ripped, but that doesn't matter too much. I have it in dark navy, and I wear it for dressage and show jumping.
