Adding a blog to an existing website?

Question

Does anyone know of a simple way to add a blog to an existing website? If possible the easiest because I'm just a newbie. As of now all I know is that you can make your blog page look similar to your existing website using wordpress or you can just convert your website to wordpress. Is it really the simplest way? can anyone please direct me to a website for tutorials. Thanks.

Just add a /blog directory to your site architecture and install Wordpress in the directory. Then link to your wordpress blog from your main site. There's a lot of evidence that giving your blog an entirely different look is better for marketing. It gives you another opportunity to stand out amonst your competitors.

You can install wordpress on your site so it is like www.yoursite.com/blog

and that can be your blog

to get it to look like your current site that takes some work and if you are a noob it will not be an easy task but it is possible, or if you want you can redo your whole site in wordpress, and then have a blog with it that way

Hello, First of all thanks for using Yahoo Answers. Building a functional blog takes time, expertise, and practice. If you know css, javascript, and html very well installing Wordpress should be a breeze. Just set up your MySQL database and run the WordPress installer. -Colin
