How old do you have to be to volunteer at an animal shelter or day care?
I know alot of people on Y!A don't live here in my city, so not much people would be able to tell me the age capacity for the exact places i have in mind. so i'm just wondering how old do you usually have to be? and are their any specific requirements?
Yay so i'm old enough =) i just looked on the human society website and they said you have to be good with computers to volunteer.. wtf? that must be something completely different. I might volunteer at a hospital when i turn 14.

well i live in Canada too so i don't if it's the same? but i started volunteering when i was 13 or 14.
Just call in where you wanna work and ask them.
I think if you're under a certain age you need your parent to come and fill out a form.

I am pretty sure there is no age limit, maybe its 13. I dont know. I am going to volunteer a animal shelter too (once a month), soon. But I am 19.

well for an animal shelter , to volanteer you have to be at least 12 , but thats in VA. but i dont know about day care:)
