Connecting Freesat to DVD?

Basically, I want to connect the freesat box to the surround sound. But I dont have a clue how, and there doesn't seem to any magical cable. So I thought I'd ask here.

Its a Humax foxsat HDR, and a Sony DVD.

At the moment DVD is connected to the TV by scart, and freesat to TV using HDMI. Which works fine.

But according to the freesat book, you can get 5.1 dolby with it, which is something I'd like if its possible. But I can't work it out....

I scanned the instruction books, so you can peruse the cable ports. Cause I don't have a clue anymore.

Help, anyone??

You need to connect optical SPDIF from the satellite receiver to the SPDIF in on the surround system.

It seems that surround system hasn't the input you need, as many low end surround systems are.
