FINALLY some closure for the Kopechne family?

Do you think that in heaven, Ted Kennedy is finally being held accountable for the death of Mary Jo Kopechne since the judicial system was so apt to give him a pass for his actions that, for anyone who wasn't a Kennedy would at very least be convicted of manslaughter?

Yes there is...for this one family. It is actually pretty exciting because now we can put a number ratio to it. I think it is now about 2 out of 49500000 tortured souls who have some form of justice. The same will never be true for the countless millions of aborted babies Ted Kennedy is responsible for (as he was of course the leading legislative baby killer in the senate). They never got the chance to look into the face of the man who indirectly slaughtered them...and they never got to experience the day when this infanticidal (is that a word?) manic died.

But to answer the question more plainly, yes. When Ted Kennedy died and split hell wide open...that family finally got some closure (not sure about justice).

What goes on in the hearafter is out of our control. So speculating as to whether Kennedy will atone for his "sins" ........I'm sure he will. Whatever sins he has committed, he will have to answer for. With that said.....are you ready to atone for your sins? Some are so quick to judge people and claim that any punishment received or not received wasn't enough......Only Ted Kennedy and Mary Jo Kopechne knew the truth about what happened on that bridge. However, in reading some of the comments you would think that these individuals were in the back seat of the car Kennedy was driving. Let God handle matters from now on with respect to Kennedy and Mary Jo. God forgives....man however, chews on the same bone for decades hoping to cause pain, sorrow and humilation until they get some personal satisfaction. The fact that Kennedy did not make it to the White House as president was probably the best thing for him. His life would have been in constant danger because of so-called Kennedy haters. He lived longer than his brothers, was devoted to his family and had legions of friends and colleagues who loved and respected him. He had a good life, one with good times and bad, etc. so.......Let Ted Kennedy rest in peace. Let Mary Jo Kopechne rest in peace!! Do something productive with you lives so that when it's your turn to die, people can say good things about you and not dwell on your negative traits.

I want all of you to think about Mary Jo Kopechne's parents who lost their only child because of Ted Kennedy. He was too concerned about his own reputation than to try to save her or report the accident so someone else may have saved her. Personally, I hope he enjoys the heat.

No, the Kopechne kinfolk will now never be waiting to receive closure. With the loss of existence of Splash, our probabilities of convicting him ultimately have been taken from each and every person. i'm in common terms too happy to be attentive to that he died understanding that he became approximately to die, he observed it coming and could do not something to quit it. i contemplate whether that became something like being trapped in a vehicle underwater.

What a second. Are you saying it wasn't an accident that he couldn't save her when he almost drowned himself/

I did see a ficticious movie that had a politician cause an accident off a bridge so he could save some woman and be hailed as a great hero.

However, in that movie, it went wrong and the woman drowned while he barely escaped alive.

Now, are you thinking that movie is what really happened? its a ficticious plot. there is no proof he didn't have an accident and just was unable to save her.

But you're right about one thing. A good lawyer can get guilty people off and a bad lawyer can get an innocent person who is a victim convicted and sent to prison. This is the sad truth.

However, where is the proof that Ted just was unable to save her and it was just and accident and not a murder?

I think fairy tales about the afterlife are poor exercise for an adult mind. They're both dead now, there's not much more to say.

Hopefully as a devout Catholic, he found some forgivness for his sins.

I doubt her family will be so forgiving.

    "Closure" perhaps, "justice" no.
