My keyless entry won't work (Changed battery)(Best answer)?

I have a '04 Ford Freestar, and about two weeks ago it stopped working. So I put a new correct battery in, and now its not working. Does it maybe like have to "soak up" the battery for a while to maybe like charge a capacitor?

Any help will greatly be appreciated.

    You may have to reprogram the keyless entry remote with your vehicle. I know when I took my battery out I had to reprogram the remote to make it work again. Usally you can find how to do it in your vehicle's manual.

    You need to have the remote tested to make sure it is broadcasting a signal.
