8x=16
Thats mostly what you start off with. Its really alot more simpler than
you would expect. And you do A LOT of graphing. Nothing hard, I swear.

The math I took in 9th grade was geometry. A problem for example, would be applying the Pythagorean theorem to find the length of the hypotenuse given the length of the shorter two sides of the right triangle. Biology isn't really hard. Something you WILL learn in biology though, is photosynthesis. So you can get a head start on that if you want. Maybe also Meiosis/Mitosis - they can get confusing. Anyway, I had a great time in high school. There you will meet many of your lifelong friends. Have fun in high school!

theres ALOT of emphasis on the equation y=mx+b
where slope of the line is m
y-intercept is b
and x and y are coordinates on the graph...
John wanted to rent out a banquet hall for his anniversary. The place charges a fixed cost of 163$ plus 24$ extra per person.
a)If John wanted to invite 123 people, how much would they charge?
b)If John ended up paying 2251$, how many guests did he invite?
c)Write an equation to represent the pricing of the banquet hall
d)Graph this equation
Answer:
a) substitute 123 for x, 24 for m, 163 for b..
y=mx+b
y=24(123)+163
y=3115
b)substitute 2251 for y, 24 for m, 163 for b..
y=mx+b
2251=24x+163
2251-163/24=x
87=x so there were 87 guests
c)y=24x+163
d) you would plot the y-intercept, then use the slope to get the rest of the points
Factor:
a)15x^2+30x+10
b)4x^3+28x^4
Answers:
a)5(3x^2+6x+2)
b) 4x^3(1+7x)
Manipulate the equations for x:
a)28x+9y-6=8x
b)3x/4=5x-8
Answers:
a) 28x+9y-6=8x
9y-6=8x-28x
9y-6=-20x
(-9y+6)/20=x
b)3x/4=5x-8
3x=20x-32
3x-20x=-32
-17x=-32
x=32/12

It's really easy; I took geometry in 9th grade and it's just memorizing stuff *rolls eyes*

like
inverse operation
combine like terms
surface area
radius
diamater
