Here are my suggustions, my favorites have an astric next to them :)

Flying High- Jem (this is a lighter song, that could have some great choreography possibilities)

Feels Like Home- Chantal Kreviazuk (this is a song with a lot of emotion, but it isn’t too dense)

    Make Me Whole- Amel Larrieux

    Weary- Amel Larrieux

When I See You Smile- Bic Runga

Heartless- Kris Allen or The Fray

Hymn (LP version)- Moby (good if you want an instrumental…make sure you get the instrumental version though)

The Four Sections- Full Orchestra (another good instrumental)

*Gravity- Sarah Barielles (as seen by Kayla and Kupono on SYTYCD, really great song for a solo though…not necessarily about addiction)

*If It Kills Me- Jason Mraz (as seen on SYTYCD by Jeanine and Jason...but a really good song for a solo nonetheless)

    Mad World- Tears for Fears

Only You- Joshua Radin (this is a cute song…would make a good b/g duet but a good solo too)

    We’re so Far Away- Mae

    Blue and White- Beth Waters

Imagine Me Without You- Jaci Velasquez

    More than Anyone- Gavin DeGraw

    Gone- Jessica Riddle

    Lullaby- Priscilla Ahn

*Dream-Priscilla Ahn (I love this song for a solo, it’s lighter and really pretty, but it’s lyrics really tell a story, which would work nicely for choreography…Randi used it in SYTYCD for her solo)

    Starting Forever- Corey Crowder

Learning to Let Go- Corey Crowder

    High and Low- Greg Laswell

Who am I To Say- Hope

    One Day- Trading Yesterday

    This Beauty- Jupiter Sunrise

    Stay- Lisa Loeb

Beautiful Life- Charlotte Martin (if you like Charlotte Martin’s Veins, there’s are good alternatives that aren’t as popular and common)

    Redeemed- Charlotte Martin

    Fade Away- Gaelle

    Repetition- Gaelle

    Everyday- Maren Ord

    Honest Questions- Daniel Bedingfield

    Time- Chantal Kreviazuk

What I Wouldn’t Give- Holly Brook

    Time to Grow- Lemar

    What About Love- Lemar

    Angel- Heinz Winckler

    Flowers Bloom- Mandalay

If We Were in Love- Roisin Murphy

Brothers on a Hotel Bed- Death Cab for Cutie

    Such a Fool- George Nozuka

Lost Without You (acoustic)- Delta Goodrem

    Almost Here- Brian McFadden

Like Only a Woman Can- Brian McFadden

    Hometown Glory- Adele

    Thoughts of You- Barlow Girl

*Porcelain Heart- Barlow Girl (I love this song, very pretty…would make a great group number too)

    Fallen- Sarah McLaughlin

    Stupid- Sarah McLaughlin

    First Love- Utada Hikaru

I Need You- Rebecca St. James

    Dreamin- OneRepublic

    Fly Away- Corrine May

    Four Walls- Charlotte Martin

    The Waves- Elisa

    Miss Invisible- Marie Digby

Dizzy- The Goo Goo Dolls (more of a jazzy song…would make a good b/g duet)

Acoustic Number 3- The Goo Goo Dolls (short and sweet, very pretty, solid tempo)

Please Forgive Me- David Grey (emotional, and very choreograph-able)

    Wild Horses- The Sundays

    Nothing Without You- Vienna Tang

    Gravity- Vienna Tang

Beyond Words- 10th Avenue North (good if you want something alternative sounding)

Look at Me- Keri Noble (kind of common, but if your choreography stands out, it could be great)

    Let Go- Frou Frou

Superman- Five for Fighting (would be really nice with a red ribbon or piece of red silk)

I’m Leaving On a Jet Plane- Chantal Kreviazuk (good for a senior solo, or a solo about change, a little more contemporary and modern than lyrical though)

    You - Raheem Devaughn

Mercy- Christina Aguilera (really emotional…it’s about someone cheating, would make a good group number)

Let It Be- The Beatles (though it’s a complete classic, it’s not common at competitions, and is very danceable)

    The Wind- Cece Winans

    Get Here- Oleta Adams

As You Sleep- Something Corporate (another good song if you like alternative music)

*I Wanna Hold Your Hand- T.V Carpio (another Beatles classic, though this is the one from Across the Universe)

    Brave- Idina Menzel

Come Down To Me- Saving Jane

Never Knew- The Rocket Summer (another good alternative song)

Slow Me Down- Emmy Rossum (kind of common, but with an interesting prop and the right choreography it could really stand out)

    Sweet Surrender- Sarah McLaughlin

    Silence- Sarah McLaughlin

Blackbird- Evan Rachel Wood (kind of common, the Beatles Version is classic, but with the right choreography and maybe a prop, it could be good)

Lamentation- Lea Andreone (common again, but like before, with the right things, it could be good)

    Dear Life- Anthony Hamilton

    Just Like Heaven- Katie Melua

I Wanna Dance With Somebody- The Side Project

Only Hope- Switchfoot (the Mandy Moore version is really common, and more for younger kids, but I love this one because it’s better for older kids and has a lot more emotion)

    Against the World- Robin Thicke

Rock Your Soul- Elisa (common, but with a lot of strong turns, it could be creat)

    Kindly Unspoken- Kate Voegele

Hallelujah- Kate Voegele or Jeff Buckley or Imogen Heap

    Fix You- Coldplay

    The Scientist- Coldplay

    Waiting in Vain- Annie Lenox

    Violet Hill- Coldplay

    Lost?- Coldplay

A New Day Has Come- Celine Dio
