Green Day vs. Green River?

I know of both bands and I've liked Green River for a long time - they freakin' rock!!!. Some of the guys from Green River went on to form Mudhoney and they still rock-

It's especially a disgrace to have people associating with any sense of calling green day Punk, because in the true sense of Punk in music, real Punk proves green day is nothing but total posers and wannabes. The only thing green day's cds are good for example is coasters and frisbees - Oops! I think I broke someone's green day cd to pieces when it landed on the cement when I was playing frisbee with it.

As for people saying green day don't you know what real Punk is such as bands like this?-

See, punk doesn't have any rules, so Green Day is rebelling against the rebellion. Green River may be good, but they lack something original, like Green Day making records and things like that.

Green River is much better, but I don't like the vocals.

they have a better sound, and more meaningful lyrics. but thats just my opinion(:
