What are the "Kiss The Girls" and "Along Came A Spider" movies like in comparison with the books?

I'm reading through the Alex Cross series and noticed that the first two had been released as movies.

From anyone who has read the books and seen the movies (starring Morgan Freeman), how do the movies compare with the books? Are they a worthwhile accompaniment?

along came a spider had very little similarity to the book, but kiss the girls was a pretty dead on. i would not suggest watching the movies instead of reading the books, but it won't hurt anything to watch them after reading.

Movies are never the same as the books. Most books have a lot of extra plot points that are not covered in the movies. However, movies are great when you are trying to visualize a scene that is in the book. For example, you would attempt to visualize Morgan Freeman while reading this book, much like you would if you read the Shawshank Redemption.

They are worthwhile, although sometimes the producer or director eliminate parts of the plot to keep the story flowing.

I have only seen the movies, but haven't read the book. But, in my experience, the books are 100 time better than the movies.

they're only making it Twilight. They could not relatively do it for 3 books because of the fact it relatively is not even the top of the tale...and a action picture which does not end itself exact is extraordinary.
