The police should definitely be able to catch them. You should also contact Chase, and let them know that someone got hold of your debit card, and tell Metro PCS that you did not authorize that expenditure on your card. You will probably get reimbursed for at least the money. However, the thief probably sold that MacBook, and it's gone forever. If the cops can find the MacBook, and you can prove that it's yours, then you'll probably get it back after the trial, but don't count on it. Same with the wallet.
