m^2 = mass squared, units of kg. e^2 = electron charge squared, units of Coulombs. 3 * 10^8 = speed of light in ms^-1. So we have, kg C m s^-1 Coulombs kilograms metres per second. Coulomb = Joule per second; therefore, Joules kilograms metres per second^2 E = mc^2 gives-: In units; Joules = kilograms metres per second^2, so the only difference in your equation is Joules, so I assume this would indicate that you are multiplying this by Energy.
