Actually theyre supposed to help regulate it if anything, but to be honest with you i myself have experienced a delay in my cycle from birth control pills. Sometimes ill start taking the inactive pills at the bottom of the rows and my period doesnt come until im ready to start a new pack of birth control. it could be due to an infection why your late or its may just be the pill. inform your doc and see what he or she says
