How to get rid of bunnies?

How do I get rid of my bunnies/rabbits? I am renting a place right now and need to get rid of them ASAP. I have a sign out by the road stating FREE BUNNIES....but no luck so far. I have also posted signs around the city. I also put an ad on Craigslist. What is the next step?

I also put an ad in (yesterday) on petfinder.com and other websites. I JUST called my humane society and animal rescue which neither one of them will take them. I found a rabbit rescue place but they are 5 hours away. I have no family near me or friends that are interested in bunnies.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO I WONT KILL THEM! ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!

    How many do you have?

Because they are pets born into captivity, you can't let them go in the wild because they'll die a really horrible death since they won't be able to defend themselves. I know some people do that, but they are very cruel so please don't ever do that. If worse comes to worse and you just can't find someone who will take them, it seems that rabbit rescue place is your best bet, even if it's 5 hours away. Just think, your bunnies will have a chance to go to a good home if you bring them there, or at least be well taken care of so you won't have to feel worried or guilty.

Don't know where you are, but try calling the house rabbit society locally. They may be willing to work with you.

Frankly, you've taken on the responsibility of these rabbits. It is your responsibility to make sure an appropriate home is found.

AS someone mentioned, setting them "free" is a certain death sentence.

It takes more than a day to find a home for a pet. It took me 2 weeks to find a home for a stray kitten, but I found a wonderful caring home for her.

If you are polite and quiet tenant, you may be able to negotiate with your landlord to keep your bunnies, She/he may require you to provide a pet damages fee.

You're going to have to be patient, and find a solution that is to the benefit of your bunnies. If you can't be patient, I suggest you enjoy a drive to the rescue this weekend.

Charge a $25 adoption rate (except you realize the individual good) in an effort to discourage individuals watching at no cost snake meals. Also, many animal shelters will take proprietor surrenders when you pay the rate. Or, ask your vet to publish an advert with a photograph within the workplace. Other than that, simply point out to individuals you realize that you simply ought to re-dwelling your bunnies and possibly they'll recognize any person who's interested.

I would suggest signing up for the pet rabbit forum rabbitsonline.net and then posting a thread about needing someone to take your rabbits. It's a huge rabbit forum, and there are people from all over on there who rescue rabbits.
