Had he not gone to union?

Just how much could Matt Rogers have achieved, he was absolutely brilliant tonight and at 33 shows so much class and natural skill it just pains you to think he wasted time at union, some may say time at sharks is also wasted. Your opinions?

He's a bad boy and we love him for it.

Let's get into his head for a moment...

Money gets waved at you and you think why not? No one's looking after me much here.

Pretty soon you realise it's just not your scene this handshake and parade around in a suit and tie at the footy.

Family, mates and lifetstyle for me.

I won't say too much about the other benefits (.........)

Rugby league suits him fine when the pressure's on he loves to shine. A class player who can turn it on when he's finally motivated enough to do something.

Rogers went to union only because of his coach at Cronulla. Rogers wanted to be moved from the wing but Anderson wouldn'y hear of it. So Rogers went back to rugby.

Yes Rogers sometimes shows brilliance but he is also lacking in consistency. The truly great players are consistently good.

I agree with the other answerers....hes definitely a better league player than union..he couldnt hack it. union is a lot rougher game than league..so why he was always injured.

He played well tonight but he just isn't consistent enough.
