Can typhoid fever 'somehow' cause Bacterial Meningitis?
I'm not sure if there's a direct effect of having typhoid fever multiple times on developing bacterial meningitis.
I just read that typhoid can cause meningitis. but there's no explanation as to how, so if anyone could explain it to me as briefly as possible, I'd really appreciate it. 10 points ^_^

Salmonella typhi, the cause of typhoid fever, unlike most salmonella infections is an important pathogen that is commonly found in the bloodstream. Bacteria in the bloodstream is one of the main ways bacteria get in the meninges via passing the blood-brain barrier.
