Sandisk flash drive question...?

i bought a sandisk usb 2.0 flashdrive with 8 gb of space. it asks me if i want a software called U3. should i get it? what is it used for? will it take space on the flashdrive?

    A U3-powered USB smart drive lets you carry software programs and data on a USB flash drive so that you can launch software and access all of your own data.

    You don't need it, but it is an easy way to launch programs.

    Yes it will take up space on the hard drive.

    Don't install the U3, it is a waste of space, and will slow down the time between instertion and when you actually can acess your files.
