What is an internal and external conflict?
I was just wondering what these two words mean if you could reply asap that would be great! I was to pick two characters in a book and identify both an internal and external conflict for each character, and the conflicts' outcomes. So I was wondering what an internal and external conflict was... Thanks

An internal conflict is a conflict that the character has with themselves. For example, an internal conflict would be that you want to go skydiving but you are afraid of heights. The conflict is whether to give up your dream or confront your fear.
An external conflict involves other people. It can be protagonist (main character) vs one person, or protagonist vs a group of people.
Hope this helps!
