Should I go to University of Chicago if im pursuing Pharmacy as a career?
I just started my senior year, and my teacher is really encouraging me to go to University of Chicago. He said the Chemistry program would definately help me. My other choice, which i think is better, is USC where they have a pharmacy program and a media program. If I couldnt make it to USC would Chicago be a good choice?
oh, and by the way i have no idea what the difference is between a pharmacist, a pharmacologist, and a pharm technician, so if you guys can please be more detailed on the what's and why's, i would gladly appreciate it

The problem with Pharmacy is that entrance to Schools of Pharmacy is very competitive, and most students don't make it. Those who don't make it, and who choose undergraduate studies in Chemistry, are sort-of in limbo, because a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry by itself doesn't lead to much except a job as lab technician.
A better pre-pharmacy major would be one of:
Chemical Engineering
Bioprocess Engineering
Biological Engineering
University of Chicago has none of these. USC (Southern California) has Chemical Engineering.
If you're interested in Pharmacology (Research, Design and Engineering of Medicines), you could take a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering.

why spend all that money just to go to pharmacy school. be a pharmacologist instead of a pill counter.
edit: a pharmacologist actually studies drugs, gets paid good money, has a Ph.D and earns respect. A pharmacist counts pills and puts them in little bottles. A pharm tech is the pharmacist's slave.
