mouse pointer disappeared?
can someone help in the next 5 mins'Please,just bought a new laptop & installed a microsoft mouse,all working fine till 2 min's ago & now mouse pointer has disappeared & I cannot get it back.What do I do to fix as cannot shut down properly or do anything.Thankyou .

Try restarting your computer using wither of these options
1) Just press the power once, it will automatically restart, else choose restart from the dialogue box.
2) Press Alt+F4 and then choose restart from the dialogue box

I should imagine the mouse pointer is just off screen, wiggle it around and it will appear. Go into control panel, mouse, Pointer options and place a tick against the option, show mouse pointer when I click Ctrl. This way it will be very hard to lose it again.
Alternatively of course, the mouse is a relatively new addition to the use of computers, although you youngsters have grown up with nothing else, and you can well do without a mouse - just learn the keyboard keys, like AltFC for closing a window, AltFX for exiting a program and to get to turning off computer, Ctrl Shift Delete
