I heard that gay marriages are okay if shellfish are not served at the reception. What does that mean?

catholics do not condone same sex marriage, however other religions have no problem with it at all, eat what you like be happy in life and not worry so much about what others think it is your life not theirs.

The person who said that is probably trying to compare the supposed religious principle some people cite against gay marriage with the Mosaic law that says you can't eat shellfish (specifically, it says not to eat aquatic animals that don't have fins and scales, which amounts to the same thing).

In other words, if you claim Bibilical authority for saying that same-sex marriage is wrong, but you don't follow every other rule in the Bible, you're being hypocritical.

It means that you have a piece of broccoli stuck in your ears! Best to clean your ears out so you can hear correctly.

    Have a polite day.
