Trade advice...i know i shouldnt on paper, but....?
Hey, So I have Maurice Jones Drew...And a guy wants to trade me Andre Johnson for him...I think i wanna do it. Check it out:
I have
Matt Hasselbeck
Calvin Johnson
Marques Colston
MJD
Thomas Jones
Kevin Smith
Knowshon Moreno
Derrick Ward
Hines Ward
So I have plenty of depth...If I add Andre, I would have Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Marques Colston starting with Thomas Jones and Kevin Smith as the backs. What do you think? I know its not kosher to trade MJD, but my receivers would be ridiculous and I would have decent backs. Plus, If Moreno blows up I wont even miss Jones Drew. Advice, please?

Team need is never an excuse not to get good value on a deal. Obviously everyone on earth values MJD ahead of Johnson right now, so if you want to make this move, GET SOMETHING ELSE OUT OF IT. Make it a 2 for 2 swap where you win on the second 2 players....get a draft pick in next year's draft (like, a 2nd or 3rd Rounder)....SOMETHING to jusifty the swap...don't water down your team and do the other guy a favor by letting him avoid paying market value on MJD...no need to sell yourself short..

No way. You probably already have the best WR duo in your league. Thomas Jones is a stiff, they love Leon Washington. MJD and Kevin Smith are going to have huge years, Let Jones and Moreno be your backups. Right now its going to take a long time for Moreno to become effective. Hes hurt and is going to face a lot of 8 in the box with Orton as the QB. Denver may be the worst team in the NFL.
