Mustang fuel/spark issue?

I've got a 93 Mustang GT. 5.0 liter 5 speed. Nothing fancy on it. Full exhaust, gt-40 intake and cold air intake. That is about it. Anyway, it started freaking out on me today. It will act like it is running on 5 cylinders at random and will have minimal to no throttle response whatsoever. It does not do it at any specific time. Then after I jab the throttle a few times it goes back to normal. Then it does it a few minutes later. I have no idleing issues.

Here is what I know.

1. Oxygen sensors are brand new

2. Spark plugs & wires replaced 8 months ago.

3. Distributor cap and rotor were replaced 8 months ago

4. Fuel filter was replaced 6 months ago

5. Ignition coil was replaced 8 months ago.

6. Ignition control module was replaced today hoping that it was the problem

7. I think my fuel pump is good because I can hear it hum just before startup.

Any ideas?

Your fuel pump is getting weak, it starts to go out under heavy loads and acceleration. I own an '86 Grand Marquis that had the same problem and probably the same solution. It will have those symptoms for a while (not sure how long) and then it will go out. Get it changed as soon as possible. They aren't very expensive for the older fords.

I'm thinking a few things. tps sensors sometimes gets a flat spots that will cause that. fuel pump also will do that and I have had a bad crank sensor cause me trouble.

if it does it cold or hot you can almost rule out crank sensor.

if it does it only after driving more so with a low fuel tank you got rust or bad pump.

now if you can drive it and duplacate it at any time its the throttle postion sensor.

My gut is telling me you would be up moving too speedy or a too low an rpm. attempt analyzing the proprietors instruction manual for innovations of speeds for which gears. i be attentive to it sounds rather undemanding yet stranger issues have took place. i replaced into having a similar difficulty with my 'ninety seven H-D as quickly as I first bought it (used). I examine the proprietors instruction manual. Then I spoke to a mechanic. He advised me to put in top rate gas and attempt to maintain the rpms around 21-2200. i've got not incredibly had a difficulty on the grounds that. attempt my suggestion, you will desire to be stunned that the fundamental thoughts in many cases are the terrific thoughts. sturdy success.

id look at injector connections, or maybe even scope it.i dont think that system will scan for cylinder miss.look for water inside the cap, it can happen with the neat design, you may even have an ignition problem, just goto your book, and start from there.if you got lifetime warranty wires, replace em.replace em often!8 months is max, trust me your machine will be real hot doing this.and you paid for the warranty.
