I'm buying a new laptop...?
Is the Dell Inspiron 1545 any good? I haven't got a clue what the RAm and stuff means so if anyone could explain that for me it would be great, thanks. I would just be using it for school work and the internet really.

And here it is from Dell, go to Tech Spec to see the bits and bobs, I will tell you about what you don't understand about it if you like.
My brother's girl has that laptop, I don't really like it myself, its kinda sluggish and pink lol
It would be fine for what you want it for thought.
RAM = random access memory the bigger and faster the better.
CPU = the brain, the faster and the amount f cores the better
Harddrive = storage, bigger isn't always better, I wouldn't worry too much about that.
GPU/Graphics: video Quality, 3D, colour etc

Good machine. Reliable and fast. RAM just means memory basically, the more RAM you have, the more programs you can run.
Have a look here for US and UK Dell laptops etc...
