MJ fans: was Joe Jackson a boost?

Do you fans think that despite the way MJ's dad treated him, it helped him become the man he was? e.g. his personality; he may not have been so loving, especially towards children if he had not had his childhood taken away? and also, if Joe hadn't gotten J5 into motown, michael might not have been the superstar that he later became?

In no way am i praising Joe Jackson, i just want your opinons on whether JJ should be given some credit for the amazing human being MJ was?

Poll: do you like my avatar? Michael looks so handsome :)

If it wasn't for Joe, Michael wouldn't even have existed. He always would have been such a huge star, at least so soon in his life. Michael loved his father and I am positive that if the guards at the hotel had let him in when Michael asked for him on that last awful day, the shows would have called off and Michael would still be alive.

As it was, Joe's abuse, mental and physical left Michael unable to fully trust people, especially adults. It left him shy, insecure and resentful for some time. If Joe had made Michael feel beautiful, Michael would not have viewed his appearance so harshly. If he had been able to trust and love his father, he wouldn't have forever looked for comfort from a child, therefore, the false child allegations wouldn't have happened, which truly broke him.

There are many factors as to why Michael suffered so badly, some of them brought on himself. Hear me out for a moment - Michael had the photos of him in an oxygen chamber taken as a joke, and leaked them himself. If he hadn't done that, and other things, the bad press wouldn't have been so bad. But if you listen to Childhood, he explains that people think he's strange because he keeps kidding around.

Michael suffered because he wasn't protected and was forever exploited through no fault of his own. Joe made mistakes but MJ loved him.

    He always looks gorgeous, btw.

Joe Jackson wouldn't have made Michael Jackson everything that he was. I think although Michaels life had many high's to it, and he had a great career, I think he was a very isolated, and troubled man because of the lifetyle he had to live... and because of the childhood he did have. If he wasn't so close to children, he wouldnt have been accused of what he was accused of, and I think that accusation is what broke him and ruined his career, so in many ways I think joe damaged Michael more than made Michael.

Kobetards do no longer understand to any extent further effective. they simply wanna seem at all of the "sturdy" performances, yet no longer renowned the astounding volume of undesirable ones. they desire to declare how he delivered Shaq to those rings, yet seem at his subpar playoff performaces. that is real, while MJ became no longer having an mind-blowing scoring evening, he could seem to facilitate the ball in different the variety to get his team in touch. Kobe in basic terms tries to tension the shot while the problematic gets going, and that's what reasons issues like 3/21 taking pictures nights. that is not a ask your self that he's in no way shot over 40 six%, at the same time as MJ reached approximately 50 distinctive cases. Kobe in basic terms desires to be "the guy," yet him constantly taking ridiculous double or maybe triple team fade aways to solidify his legacy hasn't helped. the only reason Kobe is going to pass MJ on the scoring record is with the help of how lots longer he's performed. that is gonna take him a minimum of four greater seasons to pass Jordan's mark, and perhaps if he became somewhat greater useful, he could've handed years in the past

yeah, i hate joe, but he was the one who made michael and the jackson 5 famous. If he didnt treat them the way he did, or their mother stopped him, they wouldnt be as famous.

As Michael said once, he was a perfectionist, his father probably made him that way, making them practice the same routine over and over until it was absolutly perfect. Thats why they were so good live.

I am not praising joe either, but he helped make Michael as famous as he was, at least quicker.

By the way, i love your avatar! <3

Interesting question (even though I'm a 'hater'),

I don't think he would have been a superstar without that childhood push just because getting into a position like that is not only about talent it is also about luck and timing etc

Dunno how the rest of his life would have turned out but I think it would have to have been rather better than the crappy life he ended up with.

I am against Joe Jackson. he could have been a better father to Michael. If he was better, Michael would still be alive

  • I think so.

Joe may have been tough but Michael would not have become what he was without Joe Jackson. No one can dispute that.
