Math 9 VS math 9 enriched?

Ok, I have taken math 9 this summer with a private teacher using a valid math 9 text book. I am interested in taking a course called "math nine enriched". This class is somewhat beneficial to me, however I do understand that it will be tough as my peers in the advanced class will be math geniuses, so to speak. In order to get into the class, I will have to demonstrate deep knowledge in regular grade nine math (which i am taking in school now) to my teacher . Once given priority by her, I may join the enriched math 9 class.

How good will math 9 "enriched" be to me. Will it help me to get to good universities, will it possibly help me do calculus earlier?
