Suggestions for music composition software?

I have Mac 10.6 (Snow Leopard), and I want to know what are some good music composition software available.

Any low cost or free software that is still good will be appreciated.

    Unfortunately, its rather difficult to create music composition freeware. However, there are several options out there for what you are looking for. Ive personally heard good things about a program called Sibelius.

    Another heavy hitter in the composition department is Finale.
