"Bulk" mail is junk mail. The sole purpose of the bulk folder is to catch all the junk mail that comes to you. It doesn't matter if you get 10 a day or 1000. All you have to do is scan them (if you even want to do that) to make sure nothing is in there of importance (very rarely will that happen though) and click the link next to the bulk folder that says 'empty' and it will empty the whole folder. It's just like getting junk mail to your physical street address - you can't avoid it completely but the folder is set up there so it doesn't consume your inbox with crap.

Naw, there's some websites where you can send free texts, but it won't be from your phone number. Just Google it.
