Have you seen a neurologist (the doctor that specializes in neurological disorders) ?
Are you taking anti-seizure medication ?
You have to go back to the neurologist and try different medicines until they find one that works for you.
I have epilepsy and they found a medicine that works for me. I had the exact same symptoms. Exactly the same !!!
I am 48.
Just keep going back.
Don't give up.

Hi, I've had epilepsy since i was a child, i have broke my face up a few times with grand mal seizures when i was off my medication trying to deal without medications in a stress free life. It worked for 2 years until the stress came back into my life then the epilepsy reared it's ugly head. I lost my ability to put words together, it was like the words were getting stuck in my head but not coming out of my mouth. I was at many times not able to communicate properly which was very unnerving.
In time i was able to turn it all around by thinking & concentrating to picture the words that i was trying to say out aloud like cars that were trying to cross a broken bridge, with no way across i had to imagine the words finding new routes to go across a different bridge. It took a lot of imagination & i was able to slowly regain all of my speech perfectly.
I am currently on Epilim EC500 tablets, 5 tablets a day. I do not take anymore seizures anymore, don't suffer with any speech problems, i don't suffer any other side effects either so you should be ok once you see your family doctor & then book to see a specialist for an EEG brainwave scan, they are simple & non threatening & from that the specialist will be able to choose the correct medication for you.

Im 28 and have had over half my life try to go on social security disability I did and got it find health insurance and see if surgery is an option and find any friends and family to talk to. If you do not have friends and family find a friend reconnect with someone from you past get a pet. That pet or person will not want to see you go. My story is not much better insurance does not cover ER bills and now I owe $1064.72 so it sucks and there's no way I can pay it. Even though I Disability I'm not qualified for Medicare so bills are not fun. But try those things I suggested and hopefully you'll make a positive choice.

Who made the diagnosis that you have epilepsy ? And having done this why didn't the doc prescribed the required medicine to keep you seizure-free?
Your latest symptoms point to aphasia and or alexia. Both are more pointing to consequences of a stroke than to epilepsy.
You should: 1. Consult a neurologist. Have an MRI, Cat scan and EEG done. to define the neurological disorder from which you are suffering 2. Have the relevant medicine prescribed 3. Be referred to a logopedist for your speech problems. All the best

Epilepsy is often caused by a gluten intolerance. People can be gluten intolerant without knowing it and don't realise that their medical conditions are being caused by gluten in the diet. I found this out myself 4 months ago and I am 60 years old. I have clearly been gluten intolerant all my life and have plenty of conditions that I now know are linked to gluten. I have been on a gluten free diet for 4 months now and am feeling a lot better. You could try a gluten free diet. You have nothing to lose, but don't expect overnight miracles. It will take time for the effects of gluten to leave your body. Gluten is found in wheat, oats, barley and rye. Here is a link that will at least prove to you that gluten is linked to epilepsy. There will be thousands of other links offering help and advice also regarding gluten and epilepsy. I wish you well and hope you can find some improvement and/or healing with a gluten free diet. You can email me if you think I can help further.

First, ask your well-known practitioner; that's what he's there fore. various epileptics are married, and likewise have infants. Tegretol has been hyperlinks to three beginning defects, yet this would properly be a danger/benefit diagnosis which you will desire to debate with your well-known practitioner besides.
