Series of questions, this forum's regular patrons "user names": what they convery to you/musical portrayal?

Please understand, this question is not meant to in anyway disparage a patron; but only to exchange impressions held by each of us of one another: and for it only to be informative and entertaining(and, maybe a little fun?).

Should you care to, post a piece of music that for you best portrays them(and a link would be nice). My response/choice follows each question listing.

1) most difficult to remember how to spell - "suwahaksaeng".

2) sounds best to the ear - "toutvas bien". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrOJcEHXYWM

3) best describes them as you've come to know them - "del_icious_manager. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7b5YWRQP0U

4) one you thought you had added as a contact long ago, but discovered after checking, that you hadn't(care to check right now?) - "rdenig_m" ((boy, am I embarrassed))

5) most endearing - "hafwen". :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPxfAmHeixA

6) most innocuous - "i.jones".

7) most enigmatic - "odzookers".

8) semi-indicative of how you speculate as they probably see themselves - "mamianka" ("mam" : Yes mam/No mam [] Yes sir/No sir)

9) they whom you perceive as postings(Q & A)to be most rewarding/interesting/entertaining for you - (I think I'll pass on this one)

10) care to post a query of your own?

And an aside, have you ever thought about changing yours(user name)?

Alberich

Update:

--------------------------------------------------------

"Mamianka": thanks for the clarification regarding your user name; but I'm disappointed you chose not to respond to any of the listings: did my mis-interpretation of what it signified for me, anger you that much?

Update 2:

--------------------------------------------------------

"Geoff H": "best describes them as you've come to know them". THIS, is how you describe me?:

http://www.authorama.com/opera-stories-from-wagner...

How very, very unflattering!

Update 3:

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]

Have just re-read all responses, and listened to those links I haven't before; and have decided it would improper for me to choose a best answer; because of the many flattering remarks made with regard to my self - thank you, very much.

And thank you even more, for wonderful, evocative and entertaining responses - truly a pleasure and delight to read.

Update 4:

Have just re-read all responses, and listened to those links I haven't before; and have decided it would improper for me to choose a best answer; because of the many flattering remarks made with regard to my self - thank you, very much.

Awwww, Alberich, it's lovely to know that you regard me as "endearing" - thank you, I feel most honoured.

Well, here are my responses to your fun question, and I apologise for not supplying any music links, they'd take all day to unearth:

    1. Most difficult to remember how to spell: Suwahaksaeng is the obvious answer here - a real devil to remember! - but equally tricky for me is Stefan K feat. Dr. Nirokay - I always have to check the spelling of his moniker! (BTW, Stefan, where ARE you???)

    2. Sounds best to the ear: a toss up between mephistopheles, Mamianka and Glinzek. All fun to say!

    3. Best describes them as you've come to know them: Alberich - YOU, of course! The name sums you up perfectly, especially your great love and knowledge of Wagner. I think that the "real" Del(icious Manager) is encapsulated in his moniker, and so, too, is the sweet Kindclarinetist.

    4. One you thought you had added as a contact long ago, but discovered after checking, that you hadn't: Joshua Haines added me a week ago - I only just found his message, and have only just reciprocated! Sorry Joshua!

    5. Most endearing: Tucomena, she's an absolute sweetie. She has a heart of gold!

    6. Most innocuous: it's a toss-up between Jack Herring, Papagena, Julian of N and Kindclarinetist...all kind, gentle souls...I don't think I've ever read an unkind/sarcastic/impatient word from any of these folk.

    7. Most enigmatic: I can't decide between MissLimLam, Azathoth or Petr. Intriguingly mysterious packages, these people.

    8. Semi-indicative of how you speculate as they probably see themselves: Rachel_Not_Idiot. A total understatement - she is amazingly smart.

    9. They whom you perceive as postings (Q & A) to be most rewarding/interesting/entertaining for you:

I have to award the "Q"part of this one to Kalibasa. Her enviable bottomless well of intriguing, imaginative questions adds a real sparkle to this forum. But she hasn't been on for a while :o(

And the "A" part of this question I give to i.jones. I love his quirky answers, often a bit "bitey"- but always to the point, and wonderfully concise.

    10. Care to post a query of your own? No, I can't think of any...

And I've never had any urge to change my user name - I could never be anything but Hafwen, I'm afraid...

That was fun - thanks Alberich!

Jeff, I hope you are not referring to me, lol! I do answer questions later than others, and here is how I do it. I share this, because it may be the same for these other people... When I look at the list of "current" (as in most recent screens) of questions and don't find any good questions to answer, then I start looking at my contacts and see the questions that others star and take a look at those questions. Often, those are the best and most interesting questions to answer. Some of those questions often appeared 2 to 20 hours before and so I appreciate knowing about those questions. My computer is set to show my contacts and what they ask or what they star. So, if I like the question, I'll answer those questions. Also, if I find a person that has an exceptional answer, I often look at their history to see what they have answered. To me, the brightest people on here ask and answer either a) the most insightful questions, or b) the questions that are off the wall to let off steam.

I'm working up an answer to this question (and it will be long, I think), but for now I don't know if I should take offense to the adjective "innocuous" being applied to me.

    Innocuous

    -adj.

    1. not harmful or injurious; harmless: an innocuous home remedy.

    2. not likely to irritate or offend; inoffensive; an innocuous remark.

    3. not interesting, stimulating, or significant; pallid; insipid: an innocuous novel.

I think there's enough caustic in my answers to offend some, even if it's in a round-about way.

And #3 .... what?! Not interesting, stimulating or significant! (I shall go hide under my rock and pout.)

    ---

Let's see if I've got 'em all

    1. Most difficult to remember how to spell. Check: "suwahaksaeng"

    2. Sounds best to the ear. agreed: "toutvas bien"

2a. Sounds worst to the ear. Miss LimLam ... just doesnt' seem befitting.

    3. Best describes them as you've come to know them. Boy Wonder.

    4. One you thought you had added as a contact. Song bird (can you believe that!) ... and Tula! (where the heck is she?)

    5. Most endearing. four-way tie: a. Jack Herring b. Anya c. Miss LimLam d. switch ♪♫.

    6. most innocuous. Erunno. (I just didn't want it to be me again. <g>)

    7. most enigmatic (mysterious). Nemesis.

    8. semi-indiciticve of how they probably see themselves.

    9. most rewarding/interesting/entertaining (Tie) a. Nemesis b. del_icious_manager.

    10. most frustrated by out of place questions. Malcolm D.

    11. most vowel deficient. petr b (second runner up "rdenig male")

    12. most missed contributors (long list) Can music save your mortal soul?, Clare, frankmelisma, glinzek, iansamadhi, Lauren C-B, Lisa, Melanie,

Ravelinsky, Schumiszt, Song bird, urquey4990, Whippersnapper, wirechoir11.

13 Newest buddies: Piano Pronto, piano_cat, Joshua Haines.

    Hello Alberich!

First of all, I have noticed that there are some answers here that have mentioned me- I am much honored, thank you.

Than... as this is one of my very first answers after a long vacation away of Yahoo! answers, I have to apologize to the very new users here, because I had no time to meet the very new 'buddies" here. So maybe my answer will not be the most correct possible.

I'm shocked to see that there are a few answers that mention me. What's wrong with you people?! :-)

Just kidding. Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

    1) Most difficult to remember how to spell - obviously it would be Suhwahaksaeng (did I spell that right?). He has great answers but please, something a bit easier to spell! :-)

    2) Sounds best to the ear - Alberich. Even though you are little, magical, chief of the Nibelungens and mean :-), your name is cool and when I see your name in the questions list, I know I'm going to have some fun.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b80Jw8MuZxo

    3) Best describes them as you've come to know them - Liszt: Finger Reaper is a genius who gives himself too little credit (no offence). He's a great person: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SNBAmaEGNo

    4) One you thought you had added as a contact long ago, but discovered after checking, that you hadn't - Mamianka. My apologies!!

    5) Most endearing - MissLimLam. She's great fun and very mature for her age.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzx2BOMo9tY

(I couldn't choose between that and "Zadok the Priest")

    6) Most innocuous - Hafwen. She's here for fun and for passion. She doesn't mean harm to anyone or anything. I also love the fact that she thinks Pergolesi is a hottie. :-)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-N9B9H-XfQ

    7) Most enigmatic...that's a tricky one for me to answer. If I think of one later, I'll post an edit.

    8) See number 7.

    9) They whom you perceive as postings (Q & A) to be most rewarding/interesting/entertaining for you - Delicious_Manager. His postings are sometimes humorous and sarcastic but most of the time, he shows a deep love for Classical Music, and other types of music. He has a great knowledge of music from any genre. He's also very modest.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SxYwMsGCGY

I've got a great one for number 10!

    10) The best user in the Classical Section: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my;_ylt=ArLwVWXdoP4poN...

    Sorry, couldn't resist. :-)

Thanks for the fun question Alberich. Look forward to your next posting.

    1) most difficult to remember how to spell - "TK" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUhCDIi_RfQ

    2) sounds best to the ear - "Nathalie"

    4) one you thought you had added as a contact long ago - He's a contact now, but it took me a while to add him - Joshua Haines

    6) most innocuous - I have to agree with Alberich - "i.jones".

    8) semi-indicative of how you speculate as they probably see themselves - del_icious_manager. He's probably pretty delicious. And a manager. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NsDNyk0xc4

No, my username describes me perfectly.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Haha, I'm sorry Alberich. I just realized, I completely lost the main idea of the exercise while thinking about question number 3. Because I had been corresponding with you, the question said to me something like "Which user best describes himself best as you've come to know him" or something like that, which, now that I think about it, doesn't make sense at all. Sorry. I'll take it off.

Mamianka here- and I did not make up this name - my husband (who is Italian-American) would hear my family speak in Polish, and he thought this *sounded* like something that would be an endearing term - like Little Mama. Were I to make my up own user name, it more than likely would have been flute or theory-related. Or - *Thank God I am retired and can play chamber music ALL I WANT TO now!" - which would be a little long to fit under the avatar - which also looks NOTHING like me - whose does, unless it is a photo? And as we know, many of those photos are not *real*, either (apparently Duchesses, like vampires, do not photograph . . )
