i need my permit but i'm underage, is there anyway to get one?

i'm 14, almost 15 but i don't have anyway to get to school. my mom can't drop me off because it makes her late to work, there's not a metro bus that runs around the time i need and the school bus won't come anywhere near my house. is there anyway i can apply to get a permit early or force transportation to come by my house?

No way. Try walking or hitch a ride with your friends.*

You can't get a special exception to get your permit early, and even if you had a learner's permit you wouldn't be allowed to drive without a licensed driver in the car anyway.

Your mother will just have to drop you off at school early, on her way to work. Maybe you can sit in the library and study until school starts.

Or you can take a metro bus and get to school early.

Or find a classmate who lives near you and arrange to carpool with them.

You used to be able to get one if you could prove hardship. I'm not sure if they changed that or not. Why don't you call the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and ask? They are in the phone book.

    No.

You need to talk to the school, and have them find a way for you to get to school.
