afraid im going to suck and not be able to juggle everything?

im really wanting to take muay thai and BJJ (at the same place one after another) and im really afraid ill never get good at it and i will suck forever. im also afraid i wont be able to juggle schoolwork (honors physical science and honors English), classes, training, and working out. working out in the mornings isnt a possibility during the week because of school and its pretty much impossible for early mornings on the weekends for a variety of reasons. is at 11-12 ish in the morning an OK time for running and stuff? on to the working out part. we dont really have any exercise equipment(my parents are talking about getting a treadmill, a weight set thingy, and maybe a bench. would this be enough? is equipment necessary to work out or can things like pushups, crunches, and what not be suitable, even for a little while?

sorry if that was a little rambly.

Martial arts is something you can work on for the rest of your life, school is a one time shot so if you seriously think they will effect each other maybe it is best to wait on martial arts or at least only take one of the said classes, however martial arts will help reduce stress so take that into consideration. As for the equipment it is very nice to have and makes things more convenient but they aren't necessary at all, running outside in your neighborhood, a good stretching routine, and push ups/crunches will work great if you do them correctly and stay consistent. Hope this helps, good luck.

You just asked a similar question, so I'll repeat what I said there:

To be good at a martial art, you have to train several days per week for many years. That said, I would suggest you try some trial classes of both and figure out which art you like from there. Once you start, get serious and devote a few years to training with one. Obtain at least your first dan (black belt), then decide if you want to move to the next.

Just know that you are not alone... There are so many people that feel the same... I used to not even be able to get myself to go outside... I was so sure that everyone was looking at me, laughing, judging, etc... I understand and can relate to all of the symptoms that you wrote about... I can tell you though, that going to a doctor (Mental Health Department), will help you... they will give you counseling, and medication... and, believe me, the medication really does help. Once you start with the medication and are able to go into public,,,, you will notice that there are so many people out there with problems.... and that no one really is looking at you... or if they are, it really doesn't matter... For me anyhow,,, it was like once the medication started to work, I realized that no one really cares what I am doing.... and, if someone looks at me,,,, i can now just turn around, or ask them what the hell they are looking at,,, or whatever..... The whole panick attack, anxiety thing,,,, is really only a matter of our own self confidence..... So, go out into the world... and just be the best that you can be... and try to feel good about yourself - - and , at the same time,,, also know that what others are doing (talking, looking, laughing) really should have no affect on you..... Everyone has problems.... Lastly,, ,,, stop hurting yourself.... it will never help you.... It just causes pain... and makes things worse..... instead, maybe go for a run... or take a bath... We should never take things out on ourselves.....
