Do/Can Sharks really fart?

Sharks can release gas from their intestines, but since "farts" are usually known for coming out of our butts, sharks technically do not fart. Unless you count any expulsion of air as a fart. If that is the case, then yes, sharks do fart.

I know this is a weird question but a friend and I know someone who calls their vehicle the shark...when they lock it, it makes a farting noise and we call it a shark fart. Thus lead to a discussion one day about do sharks really fart....so I'm honestly curious...Anyone know?

Shark Farts

Yes they can... they're just sneakier about it than dogs. My cat has become a master of the old fart and run, he farts in your face then runs off. Others wait untill you pick them up then fart on your hand as you go to support their back legs with it.

my cat farts ALL the time and it's horrible! it smell like a possum crawled up there with week old food then died. then the oppossum and food turned into a gas and exited her rear! gross i know!

If they can fart then maybe bubble's will come up to the surface of the water line. haha
