What is this hidden partition?

I have an Acer PC that has 4 partitions. 2 of them are visible, 1 being C:(Acer) and D:(Data). However, looking around I found 2 hidden partitions, the PQService partition and an unknown partition that is taking about 3.5GB of my memory. I want to know what is this last partition? I have been wanting to install Ubuntu onto my computer, but because of this extra partition I cannot do it.

Update:

I know what is PQService is. I just want to know what is that tiny primary partition. Does it also contain recovery data or am I safe deleting it?

Update 2:

If I want to create partitions out of C or D, that would make my HDD have more than 4 primary partitions, which is not allowed. What should I do? Delete the unknown partition (not the PQService)?

these are recovery partitions given to restore your operating systems directly without need of a cd/dvd. this is really not harmful at all and you can install ubuntu by making one more partition from C or D. you should not delete these patition they are very important. they install original operating system given you by company with a bundled s/w.

Acer and other large computer manufacturers to save money no longer bundle the recorvery discs with the computer. Instead they put all of the drivers and operating system installation files onto a hidden partition so you can press a recovery button during start up if something goes wrong with your computer.

    Most likely your restore partition

It is most likely an unused partition. It won't harm anything to get rid of it, dont worry.
